Heat Press

heatpress

It’s a red letter day when you go to the tip to offload your household crap and find two heat presses! They were pretty rough when I picked them up but after a bit of white spirt and WD40 it all looks good. I’ve already burnt myself…

So the question is, what are they good for? I’ve only every used one once before for t-shirt printing and we screen printed the glue on and then melted the flock on top. I no longer have access to screen printing equipment so any one got any DIY ideas? Can you get self adhesive vinyls, flock or foils? Are they any good? How do you work out the timings and temperatures & how likely am I to burn my knuckles off?

Any advice, thoughts, links you might have would be greatly appreciated…

Pfeil Tools

Planning on getting back into the printing in the next few weeks, even treated myself to some beautiful Pfeil “palm tools” (click on the image above to see ‘em) but all that’s done is get my heart set on the matching Working Apron.

“Sewn of rugged canvas with pockets of goatskin”

Mmm…does it get any better than that?
