Pajo “Scream With Me”

screamwithmepajo

As I know almost nothing about the horror punk subgenre I will leave the background on this to The Decibel Tolls. Great album for getting things done to though…click on the image above or here for the youtube video of Pajo’s “Where Eagles Dare” (by Maximilla Lukacs).

More Betty

collagebetty4

Keep returning to Betty…I should probably set up a gallery on flickr just for these Betty collages alone. Seems like there’s an endless supply of them, even though some people seem to really hate them!

Where The Wild Things Are

wtwtawee

Been meaning to post something about Where The Wild Things Are for a while so it’s good to finally get around to it. Click on the image above to see the full joy of the photograph. Then visit we love you so where Spike Jones is blogging about the inspirations behind the film.

Ape on the moon

apeonmoon1

I was recently asked by Ape on the Moon to answer a couple of questions and provide a few pages from the crazybook for a post on his illustration blog. Click on the image above to find out how I come across…predictably, like a bit of tit.

Bank Holiday Admin

md_officewee

Just trying to catch up on a bit of admin this weekend, which is why things are a wee bit quiet. Try the flickr if you’re looking for a bit more action…of the illustration kind.

Break it doon!

irnbru

I think the new IRN BRU advert is a bit disappointing really, it’s a good idea and God knows “High School Musical” is aching to have the piss taken out of it. Although when he says “break it doon!” about 30 seconds in i did laugh. Better though is the small plastic bottles of juice with WEE BRU printed on the label.

Sketchy-book (Parp!)

Another page from the sketchbook, click on the image to see the full page or here to see the double-page spread…imagine.

Lester in Holby City

lester

What’s the world coming to when Detective Lester Freamon is reduced to appearing in Holby City and Michael’s in 90210? I suppose there’s always Treme to look forward to.

Block Print

linoprint

Finally got around to doing some lino cutting at the weekend and here’s something from the first set of prints, which I then hand coloured. I’d forgotten how much I enjoy the process and how all consuming it is…I can see a new hobby on the horizon. Click on the print if you’re interested in seeing more of the process.

24 Postcards In Full Colour

maxrichter

I’ve been repeatedly listening to ‘24 Postcards In Full Colour’ by Max Richter which I can’t recommend enough (for all the difference that makes). It’s experimental music (but nothing like as terrible as that sounds) made up of 24 classically-composed tracks to be used as ringtones. As Mr Richter says:

“Who says ring tones have to be so bad?”
